After an incident that resulted in the death of Dennis Edwards, appellant Dagmar Gahagan was charged with and tried for murder. At the close of evidence, the jury was asked to determine whether the State had proven beyond a reasonable doubt that Gahagan committed either murder or the lesser included offense of manslaughter.
