In a trial consolidated with his codefendant, Saronna Little, the jury found Louie Matthew Hankey guilty of aggravated sexual assault of a child and assessed his punishment at fifty-five years' imprisonment. See TEX. PENAL CODE ANN. § 22.021(a)(1)(B) (Vernon Supp.2006) (criminalizing aggravated sexual assault), § 12.32 (Vernon 2003) (defining punishment range for first-degree felonies).
