This case painfully illustrates the family turmoil and legal morass created when a child born during a marriage is not a child of the marriage. Several months into dissolution proceedings, Kelly Ballinger learned for the first time that the two youngest children born during his fifteen-year marriage to Melinda Ballinger were not his biological daughters.
