JOHNSON, Justice.

We granted this writ application to review the correctness of the court of appeal's decision, which upheld the judgment of the trial court vacating defendant's conviction for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in violation of La. R.S. 14:68.4, and granting him a new trial. The trial court reasoned that the State had failed to produce the "true" victim, not the owner of the vehicle at the time it was stolen, as the State alleged in the bill of information...
