This litigation arises out of a dispute over a 30-acre tract of land located south of New Iberia, Louisiana. We granted this writ to determine whether the court of appeal erred in its decision ordering the cancellation and rescission of the sheriff's tax redemption certificate regarding the property. For the following reasons, and upon finding the court of appeal reached an erroneous result, we reverse.
