The Louisiana Department of Social Services (DSS) filed a rule to show cause why the defendant, Roger Pickins, should not be held in contempt for failure to pay child support for his minor child, Q.Q.A. The trial court held that the default judgment finding the defendant to be the father of Q.Q.A. and ordering him to pay child support, was null. Accordingly, the trial court denied the motion by the DSS to hold the defendant in contempt for failure to pay...
