This opinion addresses the appeal by Steven Gaffney ("Husband"), and cross-appeal by Marie Claude Gaffney (now known as Martel) ("Wife") from a final judgment of dissolution of marriage. We reverse the award of lump-sum alimony to Wife because the portion of Husband's pension accumulated during the marriage was subject to equitable distribution to the extent it did not represent compensation for disability.
