After the trial court's appointment of a sanity commission which never reported to the court, Scott Strain pled guilty to false personation of a peace officer, in violation of La. R.S. 14:112.1, and was sentenced to two years at hard labor. He appeals his conviction arguing that the trial court committed error in accepting his guilty plea without first determining his mental capacity to proceed.
