This criminal appeal arises from the First Judicial District Court, Parish of Caddo, State of Louisiana where, after a jury trial, Christopher Kirkland was convicted as charged of second degree battery and sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment at hard labor as a second-felony offender. Kirkland now appeals. For the following reasons, the conviction and sentence is affirmed.
