This criminal appeal arises from the First Judicial District Court, Parish of Caddo, State of Louisiana. The defendant, Ricky Wayne Thomas, was convicted of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling in violation of La. R.S. 14:62.2. He was sentenced as a fourth felony offender to life imprisonment at hard labor, without the benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
