BORDEN, J.

The defendant, Ramon Lopez, appeals1 from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a(a),2 two counts of attempted murder in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-49(a)3 and 53a-54a(a), and two counts of assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-59(a)(5).
