In this criminal matter, defendant/appellant, Darrell M. Durand ("Durand") appeals his conviction for second degree murder. For the reasons that follow, Durand's conviction is affirmed, and we remand for the correction of errors patent on the face of the record.

On October 13, 2005, a grand jury in Jefferson Parish returned an indictment against Durand, charging him with second degree murder...
