This appeal arises from the First Judicial District Court, Caddo Parish, Louisiana. Abe Williams was charged by bill of information with one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a violation of La. R.S. 14:95.1. After a trial by jury, Williams was found guilty as charged. The trial court sentenced him to serve fifteen years' imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole or suspension...
