The appellant, Michael Odell Jackson, was convicted of two counts of second-degree robbery, in violation of § 13A-8-42(a), Ala.Code 1975, and one count of third-degree robbery, in violation of § 13A-8-43(a)(1), Ala.Code 1975. The trial court sentenced him to serve consecutive terms of twenty years in prison on the second-degree robbery convictions, but split the sentences and ordered him to serve five years followed by five years...
