STEWART, J.

Plaintiffs, Frederick and Patricia Bates, seek reversal of the summary judgment granted in favor of defendants, Jerry N. Amburgey and his insurer, Home State County Mutual Insurance Company ("Home State"). The judgment dismissed the Bates's claims for damages resulting from a rear-end collision. For the following reasons, we affirm the trial court's judgment.
