On December 29, 2004 the State charged the defendant Bennie Washington with one count each of purse snatching and armed robbery. At his arraignment on January 5, 2005 he pled not guilty to both counts. On January 31 the State amended the bill of information as to the date and the name of the victim in the robbery count, and Washington pled not guilty to the amended charge. The State amended the...
