The State filed a bill of information charging the defendant-appellant, John Nions, with one count of distribution of cocaine, a violation of La. R.S. 40:967(A). He entered a not guilty plea at his arraignment. After counsel waived motions, the appellant proceeded to a trial before a twelve-person jury.
