Defendant, Charles Allen, was indicted by a grand jury on November 20, 2003 and charged with second degree murder in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:30.1. He pled not guilty and filed several pre-trial motions, including a motion to suppress his confession which was denied after a hearing conducted during trial.
