The plaintiff, Kent Trainor, appeals from a Superior Court judgment in favor of the defendant, The Standard Times, in a defamation action. The dispute arose as a result of a newspaper article published by the defendant on March 15, 2001. On appeal, the plaintiff's sole contention is that the trial justice erred in dismissing, pursuant to Rule 50 of the Superior Court Rules of Civil Procedure, the plaintiff's defamation...
