Following a bench trial, defendant Wade Beachem was convicted of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and sentenced to six years in the Illinois state penitentiary. The trial court also ordered defendant to pay $3,704. On appeal, defendant claims that his conviction of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver should be reduced to simple possession of a controlled substance...
