This appeal involves a wrongful death action brought by the plaintiff,1 Dorothy Alexander, administratrix of the estate of Sheila Caldwell (victim), against the defendants, the town of Vernon and seven members of its police department.2 The trial court rendered summary judgment in favor of the defendants after concluding that the officers' inaction was not a proximate cause of the victim's death...
