On June 7, 2006, the State of Alabama, on behalf of Camille F. Dix, petitioned the trial court for a modification of Milton B. Scott's child-support obligation. In its petition, the State sought a modification of a February 5, 1993, judgment of the trial court that had ordered Scott to pay $150 a month in child support for the benefit of Scott's minor child.
