In July 2005, Joe Mack Pool was convicted by a jury of one count of conspiracy to commit bribery and money laundering, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 371, and over ninety counts of aiding and abetting bribery, and money laundering, in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 2, 666(a)(2) and 1956(a)(1)(B)(i).
