¶ 1. On May 26, 2006, a jury in the Marion County Circuit Court convicted Charles Jefferson of possession of cocaine. The court sentenced him to sixteen years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with twelve years to be suspended upon completion of four years, and five years of post-release supervision.
