Defendant Joshua Dixon was found guilty after a jury trial of first-degree murder and related offenses, and sentenced to 65 years of imprisonment. On appeal, defendant claims that the State abused the grand jury process by using the grand jury to freeze the testimony of prospective witnesses and that the State improperly presented evidence and argument concerning gang activity.
