A district court judge found Helmut Mauer guilty of possession of child pornography under Minn.Stat. § 617.247, subd. 4(a) (2002), which prohibits the possession of child pornography when the person in possession knows or has "reason to know" its content and character. In this appeal, Mauer argues that the statute is unconstitutional because it does not require actual knowledge that the persons depicted in the pornographic work...
