On 27 October 2004, Christopher Bryan Venters ("plaintiff") commenced a civil action against John Albritton ("defendant"). The action arose out of an automobile accident on 29 November 2003, in which plaintiff was the owner and driver of a vehicle which struck a horse owned by defendant.
