In Susan L. v. Steven L.,1 we held that pursuant to the Uniform Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act, Neb.Rev. Stat. §§ 43-1226 to 43-1266 (Reissue 2004), Canadian courts had exclusive continuing jurisdiction over a custody dispute between Steven L., a resident and citizen of Canada, and Susan L., who resides with the parties' minor daughter, S.L., in Nebraska.
