A jury found appellant Morris Jerome Pendleton, Jr., guilty of first-degree premeditated murder and first-degree felony murder while committing kidnapping for the death of Robert Berry, Jr. The district court sentenced Pendleton to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole for first-degree felony murder while committing kidnapping.
