This appeal arises from an action brought by the plaintiff, Jennifer Pickering, against the defendant, her former employer, Aspen Dental Management, Inc. The plaintiff appeals from the judgment of the trial court, claiming that the court improperly granted the defendant's motion to strike the first count of her complaint,1 which alleged that the defendant violated General Statutes § 51-247a2
