A jury found the defendant, Aaron S. Holley, guilty of aggravated criminal sexual assault (720 ILCS 5/12-14(a)(1) (West 2004)). The trial court denied the defendant's pro se motion for a new trial in which he alleged, among other things, ineffective assistance of counsel.
