In Georgia Dept. of Juvenile Justice v. Cummings, 281 Ga.App. 897, 637 S.E.2d 441 (2006), the Court of Appeals held that Appellant Carlise Cummings' complaint should have been dismissed for failure to comply with the ante litem notice provisions of the Georgia Tort Claims Act ("GTCA"). We granted certiorari to review that decision, and, for the reasons that follow, we reverse.
