The defendant, Dean J. Waterfield, appeals from the judgment of the trial court, rendered in favor of the plaintiff, the Insurance Company of the State of Pennsylvania, after he was defaulted for failure to plead. On appeal, the defendant claims that the court did not have jurisdiction to render judgment, and, therefore, the denial of his motion to open the judgment was improper. We conclude that the court had jurisdiction and properly denied the defendant...
