STATEMENT OF THE FACTS

On February 15, 2005, in Many, Louisiana, the Defendant, Anthus McCoy Bledsoe, and two other individuals, robbed Michael Cutwright, an employee of Rent Way, at gunpoint. Bledsoe was charged by bill of information with armed robbery. The Defendant entered a plea of not guilty, but later changed his plea to guilty of the lesser offense of first degree robbery, a violation of La.R.S. 14:64.1. The trial court sentenced Bledsoe...
