The defendant, Tarrance Lawrence, appeals, following our grant of certification,1 from the judgment of the Appellate Court affirming the judgment of the trial court dismissing his motion to correct an illegal sentence, filed pursuant to Practice Book § 43-22,2 based on the Appellate Court's determination that the trial court lacked jurisdiction to consider the motion.
