Willie Frank Davis appeals the denial of his Florida Rule of Criminal Procedure 3.800(a) motion to correct illegal sentence. Davis was sentenced in 1985 for offenses committed on June 4, 1984. Davis was sentenced under the 1984 guidelines. Davis, however, committed his offenses before the effective date of the 1984 guidelines. See Smith v.
