I. INTRODUCTION

Following a jury trial in the district court for Hall County, Marvin Walker Lovette was convicted of three counts of first degree sexual assault on a child and one count of child abuse. The district court sentenced Lovette to consecutive terms of imprisonment of 15 to 20 years on each of the sexual assault convictions and a term of imprisonment, also consecutive, of 1 to 2 years on the child abuse conviction.
