The Sandses filed a personal injury claim on behalf of their minor son, Cody, which sought recovery for injuries sustained by Cody just before his eighth birthday. The superior court dismissed the claim, ruling that the statute of limitations governing personal injury claims for children under eight years old at the time of injury, codified at AS 09.10.140(c), had run.
