After slipping and falling on gravel in a shopping center parking lot outside her workplace, Hazel Gibson brought this action for negligence against the shopping center owner, Halpern Enterprises. The trial court granted Halpern's motion for summary judgment, finding no evidence that Halpern had actual or constructive knowledge of the hazard.
