Appellant Pierre LaMont Leake appeals from the district court's denial of his petition for postconviction relief without an evidentiary hearing. Leake was convicted of first-degree premeditated murder for the 2003 stabbing death of Megan Fisher and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of release. State v.
