Juana Leguizamo-Medina, a citizen of Mexico, lacks permission to be in the United States. She applied for adjustment of status as the spouse of a citizen, Florencio Ybarra, and swore that she was living with him. At the hearing, however, she gave a different address—and the agency produced an affidavit from Ybarra that the "marriage" was a sham, for which he had been paid. Ybarra withdrew the immediate-relative petition he had filed...
