CARL E. STEWART, Circuit Judge:

Bryan Newsom and Brett Garrett pled guilty to stealing explosive materials in interstate commerce and aiding and abetting the theft of explosive materials in interstate commerce in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 844(k) & 2. They timely appealed their sentences. Garrett filed an unopposed motion before this court to consolidate his appeal with Newsom's, which was granted. We now sever the appeals, and issue separate opinions...
