In August 2005, William Peter Pastos pleaded no contest to four counts of engaging in unlawful contact with his ex-girlfriend, Kristen Yearsley. On each of the four counts, District Court Judge Sigurd E. Murphy sentenced Pastos to serve 15 days in jail, with another 345 days suspended on condition of Pastos's good behavior during ten years' probation.
