¶ 1. On August 15, 2002, Jeffery Thomas Laster was indicted by a DeSoto County grand jury on two counts of sexual battery. On September 10, 2002, Laster pled guilty to both counts and was sentenced to serve concurrent twenty-year sentences in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
