Following a jury trial, the defendant, Paul Roberts, Jr., was convicted of second degree murder, a violation of La.R.S. 14:30.1; attempted second degree murder, a violation of La.R.S. 14:27 and 14:30.1; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a violation of La.R.S. 14:95.1; and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, a violation of La.R.S. 40:966(A)(1).
