Illinois Marine Towing, Inc. ("IMT") was involved in a marine collision which resulted in injuries and one death. After the injured parties commenced lawsuits in state court, IMT filed a petition in the federal district court to limit liability pursuant to the Limitation of Shipowners' Liability Act, 46 U.S.C. § 30505.
