Defendant, Corey Edwards, appeals his conviction on a charge of aggravated battery, a violation of La. R.S. 14:34. For the reasons that follow, we affirm.

Defendant was charged by bill of information with aggravated battery. At his arraignment, defendant pled not guilty. After a two-day trial, a six-person jury found him guilty as charged. He was subsequently sentenced to seven years at hard labor with credit for time served...
