PER CURIAM.

The state charged defendant by grand jury indictment with second degree murder in violation of La. R.S. 14:30.1. In March 2005, a Tangipahoa Parish jury found defendant guilty as charged. The trial court sentenced him to life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. On appeal, the First Circuit affirmed defendant's conviction and sentence, State v. Pinion, 05-1954 (La.App. 1st Cir.6/9/06),
