In this appeal by the prosecution, the sole question before us is whether the trial court articulated a substantial and compelling reason to justify its departure from the sentencing guidelines when sentencing defendant for his jury conviction of armed robbery. Because we conclude that the trial court failed to articulate a substantial and compelling reason for the departure, we vacate defendant's sentence...
