¶ 1. Phillip Young was convicted of carjacking following his trial by jury on November 12, 2002, in the Circuit Court of Sunflower County. He was sentenced to a term of fifteen years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with ten years to serve and five years suspended and five years' post-release supervision. Young was also ordered to pay court costs in the amount of $530, $250 to the crime victims' compensation...
